Develops English reading proficiency and vocabulary for academic, career, or personal purposes in speakers of languages other than English and prepares them to function in a multicultural, multilingual society.  Focus on
increasing English fluency from mid-intermediate to advanced levels, with an emphasis on preparation for academic classes. Blends classroom instruction and computer-based instruction.
