Study of the care of the pediatric patient and family during health and disease. Emphasis on growth and development needs utilizing the nursing process. End-of- Course Outcomes: The student will identify safety principles related to childcare; discuss primary nursing care of the pediatric patient and family during health and disease; and apply concepts of growth and development to the care of pediatric patients utilizing the nursing process.
