A health related work-based learning experience that introduces the student in the application of nursing theory, skills and concepts within the roles of the professional nurse as provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, member of the health care team and member of the profession. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. Clinical experiences allow the student opportunities to begin utilizing nursing skills in caring for adults and family. Clinical education is an unpaid learning experience.
