Application of independent nursing interventions to care for patients and families throughout the lifespan whose health care needs may be difficult to predict. Emphasis on collaborative clinical reasoning, nursing leadership skills, and patient management. Content includes the significance of prefessional development, trends in nursing and health care, and applicable knowledge, judgement, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework.
