Purpose: The Occupational Skills Awards (OSAs) provide a quick, marketable distinction, showcasing foundational industry knowledge that can set a candidate apart during the hiring process.

The need for an OSA in Networking Fundamentals arises from the complexity and precision required in networking tasks. Successful networking involves configuring devices, managing IP addresses., troubleshooting issues, and ensuring security, all of which demand a high level of organization. In a fast-paced IT environment, even small mistakes can lead to network failure, security vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies.
